Yamas: Returning to Balance with Beverly

This program is for anyone at any level of Yoga. From no understanding to advanced. Be open to letting go of what you think you know, carry in your curiosity and bring a journal/notebook. It will be a progression that builds literally from the ground up. Life is out of balance, our bodies, minds and beings are out of balance, and for the most part balance doesn't require a drug or traumatic intervention to return homeostasis. We hear about homeostasis in our internal bodies, but it exists in every area of life. Balance in the organs, the tissues, in sleep cycles, emotions, and so much more.

When the natural rhythm is thrown off, things swing wildly as the human body we live in tries to get back to a gentle back and forth. (Think a lovely swing under an apple tree on a summer day compared to hanging off the end of a rope swinging back and forth across a canyon...ahem.) We were and are built for balance and once you start to understand the body you live in you are the one who gets to choose the outcomes.

This is truly the Yamas of Yoga.

There will be a combination of Conversation, Conscious Movement, Yoga Asana(Poses), Breathwork, Meditation, Philosophy and Community.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Mats and blocks are provided, there are a few scattered other props, but if you have and please bring them if you enjoy using them.

  • For any class it is always good to bring a sweater and socks for the end. After a body has moved it cools off a lot during Savasana and it is hard to rest if you get cold.

  • Most importantly come ready to explore. I am a guide who has gone on this journey. But each of us is so individual you must have a desire to be guided but also to do the work of moving towards your destination becoming the master of your life.

    CA$180 - The program is offered on a sliding scale to allow as many as possible a chance to join. If you can't join for the first class or 2 classes can be prorated if needed.
