Health and Hygeine of Werklab

At Werklab, the health and safety of our Members and team is our top priority.  As we continue to navigate the changing situation with COVID-19, we’re taking necessary steps to protect the health and wellbeing of our community, so that you can have space to do your work in a safe way. As of May 19, Werklab is OPEN for all Members.

Please do your part to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

We must all do our part to limit the spread of COVID19. Please practice personal responsibility and come into our workplace at your own risk. We understand that this may not be the right time for everyone to return. By choosing to come back, even with our increased health and safety protocols, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with the global pandemic.

While working at Werklab, Members can expect:

  • A new sign-in and sign-out procedure when starting and ending the workday 

    • To adhere to the 50 person limit laid out by our provincial government, we will be asking that ALL returning Members sign-in at the upon arrival and exit. We will be monitoring this throughout the day to ensure we keep a safe amount of Members in the space at all time. This includes guests of members.

  • Increased cleaning routines

    • We have stepped up our cleaning game and will be disinfecting all high traffic and high touch surfaces throughout the day. You will also find hand sanitizer and surface disinfectant throughout the space for you to use as you need.

  • Reminders of social distancing throughout the shared workspace 

    • We will have reminders throughout the space to adhere tp social and physical distancing guidelines. Please take responsibility for your needs and ask for additional space from other Members when you need it. 

  • For the safety and wellbeing of the community Werklab coffee mugs, cups, plates and cutlery will be off-limits until further notice

  • If you are sick or have travelled, stay home

    • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone who is infected, please do not come into our workplace for 14 days and until you are fever and symptom free. If you have travelled - please follow the government required 14 day quarantine before you return to our space.

Before you return to Werklab, pleaese review the return to werk checklist:

✔ Do ONLY come into the space if you are healthy and have not experienced signs of COVID-19 in the last 30 days. If you are unsure, you can take the BC Self Assessment tool for COVID-19 here

✔ Do sign-in and sign-out when entering and leaving work for the day 

✔ Do bring a personal mug, water bottle, cutlery, plates, and bowls necessary for eating. Communal dishware is off-limits until deemed safe.

✔ Do take personal responsibility and ask for additional space from fellow Members when necessary 

✔ Do complete your Nexudus profile (Werklab's Software Management System) and look out for any important updates from the Werklab Team
