CREATE A NEW FUTURE TOGETHER.
OUR PURPOSE IS ELEVATING PEOPLE.

OUR VISION IS THAT BY CONNECTING PEOPLE TO THEMSELVES,

IT MEANS THAT YOU ARE SPECIAL.

THE CREW AT WERKLAB PLACES BUILDING THE
 RIGHT
COMMUNITY AT THE TOP OF ITS PRIORITIES.

OUR CORE VALUES

EXPERIENCES

The amenities in our space and the experiences we design allow our members the chance to connect and meet one another in a safe, supportive and creative place.

SAFETY

Werklab provides tools and resources to facilitate self care – we believe by taking care of yourself you are able to do your best werk. We have thoughtfully curated our space and community to encourage our people to lean into the discomfort – in the discomfort is where the magic happens.

CURIOSITY

Curiousity is what connects us. Through our activations we tap into our curious minds and spark meaningful conversations and new collaborations.

CREATION

At Werklab creation is both tangible and emotional. We create products, businesses, and ideas but we also create purpose, meaning and an impact on our community.

WORDS FROM THE FOUNDER, CHRISTINA DISLER

website.jpeg

Hello and welcome to our big supportive family at Werklab! Every person who joins impacts the DNA of our community feel and we’re so grateful to have you be part of who we are.

I grew up in Vancouver as a bright eyed high achiever, who struggled with mental health through my adolescence and early 20s. Highly sensitive, I was always in tune with others and understanding why people do the things they do. After dropping out of university I pursued my passion for people through the creation of an HR department within a rapidly growing business.

Along with gaining accreditations and experience in the HR field between 2010 - 2016, I completed a grad certificate at UBC in Organizational Coaching. Through witnessing firsthand, the shifts that were happening in the workplace and job market, and continuing my fascination with the millennial generation and the way they work, I became curious about community workspaces and what this up and coming generation is craving. Once I saw the space, Werklab was born.

LIFE AS A WERKER: COMMUNITY EXPERIENCES AND EVENTS

INTERNAL EVENTS (MEMBERS-ONLY)
We host events and activations specifically for Werklab members with the goal of knowledge sharing, connecting and learning with each other. Regular programming consists of monthly “Lunch and Learns” – lunches hosted by a wide variety of individuals from our community, sharing insights from their field or industry, group workouts/sweat sessions, and other fun surprises. If you are interested in hosting or leading the group through a topic you are passionate about, reach out as we would love to support you in this!

STUDIO SCHEDULE (MEMBER’S & DROP-IN’S)
Our Mindfulness & Movement Studio has the purpose to include the much needed alignment and energetic balances in your day at Werklab. All members have unlimited access to the Mindfulness Studio class schedule. In this space we host multiple classes per week that focus on mindfulness, movement, alignment and mobility. We believe that when you take the time to move, breathe and be present in your body you are then able to feel grounded, connect to the world around you and navigate your daily path with ease.

PUBLIC EVENTS HOSTED AT WERKLAB
We collaborate with our external partners to plan events and activations that take place outside of our four walls. Our goal is to bring together the greater community, facilitate connection and expand our minds. Over the years we have collaborated with an assortment of local businesses such as Tight Club, lululemon, Hey Kokomo, Virtuous Pie, local individuals in the Design industry, All City Athletics and more.If a Werklab member has an idea for an event or activation, we will always do our best to support them.

OUR SLACK CHANNEL (MEMBERS ONLY)
As a member of the Werklab community we will be adding you to our Slack channel. This is a great place to learn about what is going on in our community, connect with each other, ask our community for support or ask questions. We also post any “need to know” information regarding the space, so be sure to keep your notifications turned on. You will receive an email inviting you to join the Werklab workspace – instructions to join will be in the email. We suggest that you download the Slack App from the app store, as it is easier to navigate and is the easiest way to stay up-to-date with what is going on at Werklab.

MEMBER PERKS

Our community extends outside of these four walls, into the shared communities of our local partners and neighbourhood friends. As a perk for being a Werklab member, we’ve partnered with businesses and companies thatinspire us to offer a welcome package to you, so that you can visit these spots in person and see for yourself why we love them.

This list is constantly updated as new member perks are added each month. Be sure to check our members-only page on our website.

REFERRAL PERKS
Rad people (aka, you) know other rad people (aka, your friends). We are always looking to our community to help us get other amazing humans into our space. We will be asking each new member if they were referred by a current member, and if so, by who. If you are sending someone our way, make sure they know to include your name in their onboarding form so you qualify for the program.

We do not offer a trial day to non-members, however if your friend books a tour with us please invite them to work in the space for two hours so they can see what all the fuss is about! After a referred member has been with Werklab for three months, you will receive a little something from us as a thank you:

Working Member Referral – $75 Gift card to one of the listed companies that are participating in our Member Perks Program

EACH MONTH: OUR WERKLAB NEWSLETTER FOR MEMBERS
Check your inbox at the beginning of each month – we send out one newsletter packed with all highlights of the upcoming month.
